The Garden Theatre, one of C. Howard Crane’s earliest neighborhood theatres in Detroit, opened December 30, 1912 with vaudeville & photoplays. It could seat a little over 900. It was one of the largest theatres built outside downtown at the time.

Feb 19, 2018 · This historic theater sits within walking distance to a number of other cultural institutions. Revival of the 1912-constructed entertainment complex (built by C. Howard Crane, of Fox Theatre famed) began in 2012 by developer partners George Stewart, Michael Byrd and William Mosely.
