At The Royal School our vision is to light up our communities and the world through being:
The Royal School, Hampstead, was an independent girls' day and boarding school located in Hampstead, London, England. The school was founded in 1855 by Queen Victoria and for 157 years educated girls aged 3–18. [1]
In 1987, the Home was renamed the Royal School, Hampstead, with girls being admitted from all three armed services, together with civilian pupils from the local area.
Set in the Surrey Hills in an area of outstanding natural beauty, our secure campus provides a calm inspiring setting where our pupils benefit from all that nature has to offer. We are a small co-educational day and boarding school for children aged 10 – 18.
Since the opening of The Royal School in July 1845, successive monarchs have continued to demonstrate a close interest in its development and in the well-being of its pupils. The unique history of the school is something that we are proud of and celebrate.
