The Room Returns is an upcoming remake of The Room produced by the charity foundation Acting for a Cause. The film is not a parody of The Room and instead plays the original material completely straight.
The film was directed and produced by Brando Crawford and stars Bob Odenkirk (who previously appeared as an acting teacher in The Disaster Artist) as Johnny. Crawford also portrays Mark, whereas Mark's original actor Greg Sestero plays Chris-R. Tommy Wiseau was not directly involved in the film's production.

The film was originally announced to release sometime in Spring 2023, though this did not happen and the film was delayed to coincide with The Room's 20th anniversary in June 2023.
On May 18, 2023, a camrip of the "I did not hit her" scene from the film leaked on the internet after being shown at a screening of the original movie with Greg Sestero in attendance.
