As I mentioned earlier, there are some good things in The Prime Gig. Vaughn and Ormond are very engaging. She also shows off a breast, which is greatly appreciated. The crew at the storefront, including Wallace Shawn, George Wendt and Stephen Tobolowsky, are very entertaining in their misery.

Reviews of The Prime Gig. AKA Glengarry Glen Lite. I have a weakness for any film that deals with cons, scams, schemes, etc. so naturally I was drawn to this straight-to-video release from 2000.
The Prime Gig: Directed by Gregory Mosher. With Vince Vaughn, Julia Ormond, Ed Harris, Rory Cochrane. A telesales con man finds the ultimate racket, but starting an affair with the girlfriend of his guru-like boss might be the wrong call.
Some succeed mildly (Boiler Room), while others fail completely (The Prime Gig). Vince Vaughn stars as Penny (short for Pendleton), an experienced conman who's used to being at the top of his game. When his current scam folds, though, he's out of a job - but not for long.
