   • Regardless, The French Connection is a classic that truly holds up. I’d put it alongside The Wire and Narc as rare and true hard edged police procedurals. I don’t actively love old films, but I’ve spent a lot of the pandemic watching classics and it’s been very rewarding. This is the only one that really stuck out as a huge disappointment.
