Dec 22, 2023 · In this iconic moment, the Tylers face the wrath of a deadly razor-sharp spinning Christmas tree – a trap left for them by creepy roboforms disguised as Santas, who arrive on Earth alongside the Sycorax to get to the Doctor and his regeneration energy.
That night, Cyril is lured into opening a large glowing present under the Christmas tree, revealing a time portal to a snow-covered forest. The Doctor shortly discovers Cyril's absence and follows him with Lily; they eventually track Cyril to a strange lighthouse-like structure.
Looking for Cyril, the Doctor and Lily and later Madge enter the box; Madge encounters miners, who plan to harvest the trees. Lily and the Doctor follow Cyril's tracks to a tower where wooden humanoids attempt to put a crown on Cyril, which will allow the souls of the trees to escape.
