The Man with One Red Shoe ★★ 1985 (PG) Hanks is a lovable clod of a violinist who ensnares himself in a web of intrigue when CIA agents, both good and evil, mistake him for a contact by his wearing one red shoe.
When Richard's practical joking friend Morris hides all but 2 mismatched shoes, he is forced to wear one red shoe back from a trip. A CIA man has to set his watchers on someone and seeing that one eye catcher, fingers Richard as a courier. This excessively complicates his life.
Directed by Stan Dragoti and released in 1985, The Man with One Red Shoe is an American remake of the 1972 French film The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe, in which Pierre Richard played the role later given to Hanks.
The Man With One Red Shoe, directed by Stan Dragoti, follows the comedic misadventures of an unsuspecting concert violinist, played by Tom Hanks, who becomes embroiled in a CIA plot due to a mistaken identity.
