Reviewed by: Angus Wolfe Murray. A film of such innocence should have charm, even joy. It has beauty (Juliet Aubrey) and goodness (Ciaran Hinds) and Phyllida Law in glorious form, as an East European Jewish grandmother, but what it doesn't have is passion.
After their son dies, a Jewish family moves from London to Israel in an attempt to piece their lives back together, even amid political turmoil between Jews and Arabs.

Review by Ken Rudolph ★. I watched this 1999 Italian/Israeli melodrama at the local Italian film festival. Amazingly enough it was actually presented in wide-screen with a pristine new film print. That's rare enough these days to be remarkable.
