Aug 7, 2023 · The youngest of King Triton’s daughters and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea and, while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden from interacting with humans, Ariel must follow her heart.
Co-produced by Walt Disney Pictures, DeLuca Marshall, and Marc Platt Productions, it is a live-action adaptation of Disney 's 1989 animated film The Little Mermaid, which itself is loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen 's 1837 fairy tale.
