Jul 12, 2018 · Any time you can spend reading from the diary of a past spiritual giant is time well-spent. As people, we find the lives of other people inherently fascinating, and David Brainerd is no exception. David Brainerd was an American missionary to the Delaware Indians of New Jersey in the early to mid-1700s. I had heard about his diary several times.
Dec 15, 2010 · This journal gives a glimpse into the heart of young David Brainerd during American Colonial days. Brainerd tells of his struggle to find God, his journey to find his calling, and mostly of his love and heart for the Native American population. I am struck by Brainerd's deep love and humility before God.
