      • Younger characters than Edward showed good judgement in episode nine. Stiorra’s declaration that she’s both Saxon and Dane was a conclusion her father took decades to reach. Her impatient dismissal of cultural division as “a game for old men” was more wisdom, the mirror of Sigtryggr’s takedown of “the old generation” of Danish warriors.

  7. Mar 11, 2022 · Episode 9 – | Review Score – 4.5/5. Episode 10 – | Review Score – 5/5. Out of all the period dramas on TV, The Last Kingdom is up there with the best. Action-packed, historically accurate (for the most part) and full of excellent political drama, this show is really like no other.

  8. I'll tell you what I tell everyone about the show: Give the first episode a chance. If you watch the first episode and like it, you will enjoy the show. There's no wading through several episodes to figure the show out. There's hardly any filler, and the pacing of the show is very fast.
