Two motherless Southern sisters, stern gunslinger Augusta ( Brit Marling ) and moody daydreamer Louise ( Hailee Steinfeld ), along with their female slave Mad ( Muna Otaru ), must fend for themselves on their isolated farm near the end of the Civil War.
