Like many people my first introduction to Rubin ‘Hurricane’ Carter was through Bob Dylan’s brilliant 1976 song ‘Hurricane’. This film features that song and fills in many of the details. Carter is brilliantly portrayed by Denzel Washington giving a career defining performance for which he received, rightly in my view, a Golden Globe.
