I love this movie. But I don't like that end credits stinger, because I feel it inherently undermines what's so brilliant about the ending. The whole reason the movie cuts to black before we see the fight is that whether he lives or dies is irrelevant. What matters is that he chose to fight.

As an action flick, it's pretty solid. Nothing award winning, but definitely engaging. There were a few memorable scenes for sure. However, the final scene where Ottway enters the wolves' den literally sums up the fears he instilled in the men throughout the movie (getting too close to the den).
