The first season of the American television series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds follows Captain Christopher Pike and the crew of the starship Enterprise in the 23rd century as they explore new worlds and carry out missions throughout the galaxy during the decade before Star Trek: The Original Series.
With “Voices Carry,” the narrative loses some of that initial momentum and seems sluggish at times. The link between the three women in their three different timelines started out strong on Episode 1 —the stories and tones flowed easily into one another.
