The Draughtsman's Contract is a 1982 British period comedy-drama film written and directed by Peter Greenaway – his first conventional feature film (following the feature-length mockumentary The Falls).
An aristocratic wife (Suzman) commissions a young, cocksure draughtsman (Higgins) to sketch her husband’s property while he's away—in exchange for a fee, room and board, and one sexual favor for each of the twelve drawings.
