At a state mental hospital, the deranged Dr. Colin Ramzi (Danny Gochnauer) carries out unethical, illegal, and 100% lethal brain experiments. He then stashes his victims in the pit of the title. Thankfully, he's stopped by a bullet through his head and secretly entombed in the same pit. Uh-oh!

The Dead Pit is 1989 low-budget horror film, which was directed by Brett Leonard note (, , ). The movie starts with showing the Big Bad Dr. Ramzi, head surgeon of a mental hospital, taking patients and conducting cruel brain surgery experiments on them underneath the hospital's clock tower.
A renegade doctor is shot dead and entombed with his fiendish experiments in the basement of an abandoned wing of a mental hospital. Twenty years later, a mysterious woman is admitted with amnesia, and her arrival is marked by an earthquake - which cracks the seal to the Dead Pit, freeing the evil doctor to continue his work.
An amnesiac's (Cheryl Lawson) presence in a doctor's (Jeremy Slate) asylum somehow frees a mad lobotomist (Danny Gochnauer) and his patients.
