   When was Cook's second voyage published?

   • It was not until June 1784 that the official account of the voyage was published. It was authored by James King, who had sailed with Cook, and Canon John Douglas, who had helped him prepare the account of the second voyage. An expensive three-volume work, it included plates based on Webber’s drawings and maps showing Cook’s charting of the Pacific.
