1 day ago · 8:30 pm: Late dinner at Local Goat. Located at 2167 Parkway, the Local Goat is arguably the best and/or most popular restaurant in the Forge. It offers a creative menu of all-American restaurant fare. It’s not fancy, but it’s very, very good At the Goat, we’re gonna start with Deep Fried Deviled Eggs and some Beer Cheese Fondue.
- The Old Mill Restaurant. Tip: also try the biscuits. Located near the Pottery House in the historic Old Mill District, this restaurant features delicious Southern cuisine and country cooking done well.
- Old Mill Pottery House Cafe. Tip: the bread here is made on-site. The Pottery House Cafe is also located within the historic Old Mill District.
- Mama’s Farmhouse. Tip: Call for reservations. If you come to the mountains, you might as well try some good Southern home cooking. And Mama’s Farmhouse restaurant is the closest thing you’re going to find to a home-style Southern meal the way Mammaw used to make in all the Smokies.
- Alamo Steakhouse. Tip: Order “The Steak” There are several good steakhouses in Pigeon Forge. But this is one of the best steaks you can get in the Smokies, cooked to perfection.

- Flapjack’s Pancake Cabin. If there's one cuisine for which the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area is famous, it’s pancakes. The breakfast staple, often made as big as your head, is the way most visitors start their day.
- Local Goat. At first glance it might look like Local Goat as a menu like other Pigeon Forge eateries: huge burgers and beer. But this is one of Pigeon Forge's only kitchens with an emphasis on the sustainable, using homemade and locally sourced ingredients.

- Smokies Cuban Cafe. Located at 3526 Parkway #4 on the strip next to a string of CBD and tobacco shops, Smokies Cuban Cafe may be the only place in town to get some authentic Cuban food.
- Boss Hogg’s BBQ Shack. Let’s go back to the mid-to-late 90s. There is a magical hole-in-the-wall eatery on Wears Valley Road in Pigeon Forge. It was one of the most popular places in the region with great food and a terrific atmosphere.
- Talita’s Restaurant. Nothing fancy here. The menu is a bunch of pictures hanging from the ceiling like you often see in quick-service Chinese restaurants.
