Oct 29, 2012 · Having read the book for another book group read a few months ago, I find that I enjoy it just as much on the second reading. One cultural revelation in the book, which leaves the Western culture looking disgraceful, is the contrast in how the Indians treat their parents in a strikingly different way than the English and Americans treat their elderly parents.
