Peter doesn’t believe Scott is worthy of being an Alpha and wants to take his power. This is season 4 by the way, not 5. Now comes season 6 and Peter may not like Scott but he loves his daughter. Then by season 6b, he sees in Malia’s memories how much she cares for Scott.
This is the first time that I'm watching Teen Wolf and I'm now in season 5 (just finished episode 10). I feel so frustratred with Stiles storyline this season. I understand what the writers wanted to do, but it was poorly written?

6a is definitely worth the watch in my opinion though, its just that it requires a little bit of info from season 5. The issue with 4/5/6 is that they start strong but you'll be disappointed if you want the motives/bad guys to make sense. There are a lot of interesting moments, and some cool stuff.
