And then either get the full book or the starter set (I would generally suggest the book over the starter box, but decision can depend on budget and interest in the dice ... the PDF version of the starter set also might be ok, it's 32 pages rules and 16 pages ...

It includes a nice Downloads section with the character sheet, maps of the setting, and maps for all the adventures in the book. Modiphius’s Tales from the Loop website.
Sep 19, 2020 · This thirty-two page booklet gives players the rules for playing a game using the Tales from the Loop Starter Set. It is broken down into four chapters, with each of these broken down into a number of sections. Oddly there’s no overall table of contents, rather each chapter has a page reference for its own sections.
May 31, 2021 · The starter set for Tales from the Loop, as well as the main book both have Roll20 modules. For the starter set you get everything from the box, including characters and maps.
