is a series of interstitials based on Phineas and Ferb, produced by Hieroglyphic Productions in association with Disney Television Animation. It involves Phineas and Ferb interviewing well-known figures including Taylor Swift, Neil Patrick Harris, Howie Mandel, and Shaun White. The concept was first reported on June 21, 2010 by The New York Times in an article about Disney's plans regarding making Phineas and Ferb into a franchise. The idea came to be when Disney asked creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh to come up with a way to mix the cartoon characters with live-action stars. The series was announced to have been picked up on November 4, 2010, with its debut date slated in the following month.

Ten shorts were initially ordered by Disney Channel. The first guests confirmed to appear were Seth Rogen, Andy Samberg, Tony Hawk, and Randy Jackson, all of which mentioned in the green-light announcement. In a press release issued the day after, the rest of the celebrities for the first order were unveiled, with Jack Black as the inaugural guest. Ahead of its premiere, a first look at the series was shown in an article by Variety, and the first three episodes were made available on the Disney YouTube channel.

For each episode, guests would film 60 to 90 minutes of footage in a green screen set, sitting besides two cardboard cut-outs of Phineas and Ferb. Being an unscripted show, crew members such as Bobby Gaylor would come up with the characters' lines on the spot. Outside the main duo, Isabella serves as the stage manager and other Danville citizens like Dr. Doofenshmirtz could make appearances as well; all of this was taken into account during production. In post-production, the cast members voiced their lines, the film was edited down, and animated segments directed by Seth Kearsley were incorporated accordingly.

The first ten shorts aired from December 2010 to April 2011. On June 7, 2011, with the reveal of the premiere date for Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension, new episodes of Take Two were announced to begin airing in the summer, including guests such as David Beckham and Jason Segel. A month later, on July 11, the remaining guests were unveiled alongside the date for the Beckham short. Among the names listed were Miss Piggy and Ty Pennington. Previews of some of these episodes were released in news sites. The rest of the episodes aired from July to November 2011, concluding the series with an episode on Guy Fieri.

•This series is similar to Space Ghost Coast to Coast, in which an animated talk show host interacts with his live-action guests.

•Unlike the original show, the series is animated with flash.

•In the press release for the premiere date of Across the 2nd Dimension, Selena Gomez was listed among new guests for Take Two with Phineas and Ferb. This suggests that an episode for Gomez was planned at one point, but was scrapped presumably due to production on Wizards of Waverly Place, which starred Gomez, wrapping up around that time.

•Due to the gap between the first ten and the last ten shorts, they are sometimes referred to as two separate seasons.
