Jun 8, 2001 · Stanley sits at his computer keyboard and looks at six or eight monitors, hacking away in syncopated rhythm to a song about "50,000 volts of (bleeping)." As he works he talks, his words fitting neatly into the music. The song and the action work nicely together, even if we doubt hackers use their keyboards for percussion.
It's got everything - great story, actors (top performances by most of them), fast paced action, interesting plot and an amazing ending. Furthermore, Dominic Sena directed some gems like Kalifornia, Gone in 60 Seconds and The Season of the Witch (I actually enjoyed the latter film although others might disagree) and could direct a sequel imo.
While Stanley is at home in rural Texas practicing his golf swing, a woman named Ginger Knowles (Halle Berry) shows up to solicit his hacking skills for her boss Gabriel Shear (John Travolta). For an initial $100,000 he agrees to meet with Gabriel. He and Ginger fly to Los Angeles, California and meet Gabriel in a night club.
