But Krieger took care to manage the kind of work he did. “Very quickly, I realized that writers get typecast as quickly as actors do,” he said. After developing several teen-focused projects, Krieger took three months off to work on an autobiographical family comedy called “Kinfolk” and started sending the script out to producers.
Stu Krieger. Stu Krieger was born on 27 January 1952 in Rochester, New York, USA. He is a writer and producer, known for The Land Before Time (1988), Where the Boys Are (1984) and Amazing Stories (1985). He has been married to Hillary Horan since 1981. They have two children.

He was an executive producer on the feature films The Binding (2016) and My Name is Myeisha (2019) both feature directed by his son, Gus Krieger. Krieger's first novel That One Cigarette was published by Harvard Square Editions in 2017. In April 2015, Mr. Krieger delivered a well-received TEDx Talk entitled “Choose Joy.”
Apr 30, 2019 · Krieger co-wrote the Emmy award-winning miniseries “A Year in the Life,” and has been nominated for the Humanitas Prize for the Disney Channel original movie “Going to the Mat.” He has also produced 10 original movies for the Disney Channel, has been a story editor and writer on Spielberg’s “Amazing Stories” and the supervising producer on the ABC series “Jack’s Place.”
