Behind these and many other classics that formed countless millennials’ childhoods is screenwriter and UCR professor Stuart “Stu” Krieger.
Apr 30, 2019 · Krieger co-wrote the Emmy award-winning miniseries “A Year in the Life,” and has been nominated for the Humanitas Prize for the Disney Channel original movie “Going to the Mat.” He has also produced 10 original movies for the Disney Channel, has been a story editor and writer on Spielberg’s “Amazing Stories” and the supervising producer on the ABC series “Jack’s Place.”
Stu Krieger is a Professor of screen and television writing in the University of California, Riverside’s Department of Theatre, Film & Digital Production and in the Creative Writing for the Performing Arts MFA Program at UCR. He also teaches one class per year at the USC Peter Stark MFA Producing Program.
Stu Krieger. Stu Krieger was born on 27 January 1952 in Rochester, New York, USA. He is a writer and producer, known for The Land Before Time (1988), Where the Boys Are (1984) and Amazing Stories (1985). He has been married to Hillary Horan since 1981. They have two children.
