Maya holds Carina's hand in a procedure room. A nurse shows Maya a picture of the embryo on a tablet. Carina drinks a cup of water. They watch on the monitor as the doctor transfers the embryo into her uterus, then gives them an ultrasound picture of Carina's uterus with the embryo inside.

Maya sees Carina moving a monitor in the clinic and stops her.

Sullivan tells Beckett they need food on the tables and he's on sandwich duty. Vic and Travis need to get chairs from the pharmacy becuase they're also going to be doing vaccinations. Andy has some child-sized chairs that Peggy and Dayna had in their garage. She's going to use them to set up an area for the kids. The chief says their patients will be arriving any minute now. Ben comes in with Joey and says Joey is there to be helpful so they should put him to work.

Vic wants to reschedule the Crisis One fundraising calls because they have an actual emergency on their hands. Travis tells her not to because now he owes Eli a favor for getting Vic in with the Hudon Foundation and their deep pockets. Vic says she's a firefighter, not a salesperson. Travis reminds her of what she told him when he was running for mayor. To get her mind off her nerves, Vic wants details from his date with Dominic. All he'll say is that they had a good time and he's taking it slow. They see Ben and Joey arguing nearby and Travis asks if Vic knew Joey was volunteering. Vic says it sounds more like he was voluntold. Travis guesses that he totaled Ben's car. Vic adds running over the family cat. Andy joins them and asks if they know why Joey is there. When Vic tries to make a joke about Andy not knowing, Andy reminds her that she has fundraising calls to make.

Ross asks if she has anything else on her schedule. Kel reminds her about the meeting at the lounge. She says not today, but she's already said that three times before. He reminds her that her engagement party is tomorrow and they worked hard to get it ready for her. She says she didn't ask them to do that, but agrees to get there somehow. As Kel leaves, he asks if she was expecting a visitor. She's surprised when Jeonghee Lee, her sister, comes in, fresh off a plane from Korea. They hug.

Travis tries to make things less awkward between Ben and Joey, but fails. Beckett brings in the sandwiches he's made. They're simple and allergy-considerate. They finally learn that Ben is mad at Joey because he dropped out of school. Joey doesn't think he should be going to class when the world is a dumpster fire. Travis finds comfort in helping their community, but Joey thinks it's just a bandage on the gaping hole. Andy says it's not a normal clinic day as Sullivan welcomes dozens of migrants into the station.

Ben irrigated the wound and then said Rafael would need to go to the hospital as the wound had to stay open to heal properly.

She said she'd been in detention for weeks and said she hadn't been assaulted. She had bleeding two months prior at the detention center. She saw a doctor, who used medical terms she didn't understand and then did a procedure on her and said she'd be fine. Carina decided to do an ultrasound to figure out what had been done. The ultrasound showed evidence that she'd had uterine fibroids and the doctor was not careful removing them. She had scarring in her uterus. Beatriz was worried she wouldn't be able to have children.
