koghrun. • 2 yr. ago. The weekly patches are tiny to download, usually under 100 Mb, but there is a check or verification of the whole 51 Gb after the update is applied. On a modern SSD or NVMe, that takes less than 10 minutes. On an older HDD, or a laptop HDD, it could take 20-30 minutes.
Loading chunk 2608 failed. Massive free update including leveling and talents for pets, new mounts and companions and loads of new items for them for ALL players. Optional DLC with cats and dogs + much more.

Icarus was once destined to be a second Earth, but when terraforming collapsed - the air turned toxic and humanity’s hopes of colonizing a new world died. Icarus became a joke, a symbol of humanity reaching for the stars and failing. The xeno-engineers salvaged what they could, released modified embryos and halted the terraforming process.
Yet when they discovered the cause of the failure - exotic matter - new interest was ignited. Valuable beyond reckoning, these ‘exotics’ sparked a gold rush and fueled political tensions back on Earth.
Prospectors flocked to Icarus to complete contracts to extract exotics and conduct research for various factions. Those that survive return to orbit as seasoned veterans, converting their exotics into advanced technology, and taking on ever more challenging drops. Those that get left behind... are lost forever.

Dec 5, 2021 · You guys need to find a better way to do updates. I love updates, but not when it has to rewrite 48.4 GB + of data each time. A lot of us use SSD's and they only have a finite set of writes and rewrites and if were updating every week, i can pretty much say you guys will be hearing a lot of complaints about how your game broke their expensive nVME / SSD drives when they only have on average ...
