Stanislaw Skrowaczewski, who led the Minnesota Orchestra for two decades and built Orchestra Hall, has died at age 93.
Feb 21, 2017 · Stanislaw Skrowaczewski, Minnesota Orchestra Conductor Laureate, died at the age of 93 in St. Louis Park. Skrowaczewski came to Minnesota decades ago to lead what was then the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra, and he never left.
He lived in Wayzata, Minnesota, and died in St. Louis Park on February 21, 2017. Frederick Harris, Jr., director of the MIT Wind Ensemble, wrote Skrowaczewski's official biography. [8]
