   DRHorton is top 5 economy home builder. I would rate 6 of 10, so is few of the homeowners we spoke since June 2020. If you have the chance, but something which is still being constructed. Reason? You can check the home in each and every stage and get fixes immediately. We got our pre-drywall inspection and it's worth every penny I spent on it.

   We had a home built by DR Horton in 2021 in North Ft Myers Florida. We liked the area where the homes were being built, and the model home was beautiful. We hired an inspector to do the walkthrough since we live in another state.

   Everything about buying a home from Dr. Horton was a horrible experience! Interior and exterior work was done half assed, had to tell them on three different occasions to re-do there work.

   Does Dr Horton use cheap labor & materials to sell houses?

   • My dad, a sider, tells me they use very cheap labor and materials to sell the houses cheaper per square foot. He could never win a bid with them because they hire the cheapest around. It probably won't effect you in the short/middle term, though. When we were looking at house we saw DR Horton new builds in 2 different communities.
