The Cordon serves as the starting location in Shadow of Chernobyl. It is where the Marked One awakens after being rescued by a unknown stalker from the wreckage of a death truck. The still unconscious Marked One is taken to Sidorovich 's bunker where he comes back to his senses shortly afterwards.
