St. Mary School was established in 1897 to provide Catholic students a quality education with a religious foundation. It began with 80 students enrolled who were taught by three School Sisters of Notre Dame.
Oct 18, 2019 · From a two-room schoolhouse at the corner of Royal and Wolfe streets in 1869, to a pre-K through eighth grade facility educating 719 students in 2019, St. Mary has grown along with the city it serves. It has provided many generations of Alexandrians, often within individual families, with high-quality Catholic educations.
On the 175th anniversary of the founding of St. Mary’s Episcopal School, Jean Vaughan McGhee ’86 and Jill Schaeffer Broer ’68 shared how the school has affected their lives, their families, and how St. Mary’s values thrive in the Memphis community and beyond.
The tuition is paid in full or paid in monthly installments for ten months (August- May; quarterly; or each semester with tuition paid by December 1st; second semester paid by May 1st. Please make checks payable to St. Mary School.
