St Patrick's College (Irish: Coláiste Phádraig), often known as St Pat's, [1] was a third level institution in Ireland, the leading function of which was as the country's largest primary teacher training college, which had at one time up to 2,000 students.
St Patrick's Pontifical University, Maynooth (Irish: Coláiste Naoimh Phádraig, Maigh Nuad), is a pontifical Catholic university in the town of Maynooth near Dublin, Ireland. The college and national seminary on its grounds are often referred to as Maynooth College.

St. Patrick’s College was established in 1875 for the education of Primary Teachers, and is affiliated to Dublin City University, with a student body of over 2,300. The college occupies beautiful landscaped grounds just off Drumcondra Road, and incorporates a number of historic protected structures including the 17th century Belvedere House.
The Residence Office in NUI Maynooth also cater for the students of the Pontifical University. There are nearly 900 students currently housed “on campus”.
