Aug 14, 2024 · SOME of the last pupils to study at St Mungo’s Academy are looking to organise a reunion to mark 40 years since the school closed. St Mungo’s closed in June 1984, with the buildings demolished to make way for the construction of a new road.
St Mungo's Academy is a Roman Catholic, co-educational, comprehensive, secondary school located in Gallowgate, Glasgow. The school was founded in 1858 by the Marist Brothers religious order. The debate team at St Mungo's were the first Scottish team to represent the UK at the World Parliamentary Debate Competition, which they won.
Columbus Recreation and Parks operates five indoor athletic complexes with four basketball and volleyball courts available for pick-up games, special events, tournaments and leagues.
