St Mungo's Academy is a Roman Catholic, co-educational, comprehensive, secondary school located in Gallowgate, Glasgow. The school was founded in 1858 by the Marist Brothers religious order. The debate team at St Mungo's were the first Scottish team to represent the UK at the World Parliamentary Debate Competition, which they won.

Oct 30, 2019 · Former St Mungo’s Academy pupil, John Marenghi, won the Under 15 Shield in 1964 beating Tynecastle High School 3-1 over a two leg final. The first leg a 1-1 draw at Tynecastle Park and the second leg a 2-0 win for St Mungo’s Academy at Celtic Park. Over the years, however, John had mislaid his winners medal.
