It was supposed to be a direct-to-space WWII analog. And it would be kind of nice to remaster the special effects for a re-release - the missile launches from the carriers during major battles was especially bad, though it looked cool at the time.

Going from memory here. The season ends in a cliffhanger. Some members of the squad crash on a planet (some may or may not have died) and one of them befriends the a native creature. There is meeting with the enemy, who is revealed to be one of the native creatures. Cut to black.
