Riz Ahmed stars as Ruben Stone, a drummer who loses his hearing. Ahmed is best known for portraying Bodhi Rook in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and for his Golden Globe-nominated performance in The Night Of. Ahmed also portrayed Carlton Drake in Venom and Elias Rahim in The OA.
Olivia Cooke co-stars as Lou, Ruben's girlfriend and bandmate. Cook portrayed Rachel in Me and Earl and the Dying Girl and Art3mis aka Samantha in Ready Player One. She also appeared as Emma Decody in Bates Motel.
