Double-headed tools are custom tools consisting of a left and right head, a handle, and a binding. These tools, which can be crafted and customized at a workbench, offer additional versatility, functionality, and customization compared to vanilla tools.
Tetra offers seven left tool heads, and eight right tool head options. Certain pairings of these heads will grant the tool additional functionalities, known as Synergies.
Adze
AdzeHeads provide a unique amalgam of functionalities from shovels and axes. They are adept at mining dirt, gravel, sand, and other soil blocks, along with logs, planks, and other wood blocks. However, they do not have the functionality to create path blocks, strip logs, and do not possess the unique axe trait, "Shieldbreaker." Adze Heads will only harvest flint from gravel. Their tool tier is lesser than axes and shovels made of the same material.
Axe
Axe Heads provide the unique trait "Shieldbreaker," along with being proficient at chopping wood. Axe heads retain the functionality of stripping logs from vanilla axes. The Shieldbreaker perk grants a 1/4 (25%) chance of disabling a blocking entity's shield on hit. The shield will be disabled for either 5 seconds for vanilla shields, or 75% of the shield's cooldown for modular shields.
Hammer
Hammer Heads are used for tool crafting and salvaging crates, chests, and schematics in the Ruins.
A two-headed tool can be "War Forged". This can only be accomplished if the corresponding schematic is placed within the 5x5x3 area above the workbench. War forged tools gain unique combat traits, at the cost of 2 Integrity. Only Axe heads can honefor additional damage.
