We recently talked to Slayed directors Mike Capozzi and Jim Klock ( read the interview here ) about the film, a straight up horror flick that takes place on Christmas Eve, which got us even more excited to see it.
Permalink. Slayed (2020) is a horror movie recently released on Amazon Prime about a water treatment plant in Arizona that had a massacre take place on the property years ago. On Christmas Eve with a bare minimum work crew the original killer returns and starts the killing spree again.
Dec 4, 2022 · At 74 minutes long, Slayed feels 60 minutes too long. What we have here is nothing but a bog-standard slasher short dragged out to excruciating lengths. Lengths dominated by bland, unlikable and boring characters doing very little. A huge portion of the movie is nothing but characters running around, screaming and then running some more.

Jul 19, 2019 · Actually, if you took them and most of the pointless running around out, Slayed could be a segment of an anthology film. Just not a very good one. To its credit, it does look good for a film shot in ten days. And despite its low body count, Slayed does have a couple of good effects. But that’s it, the rest of the film borders on unwatchable.

The whole movie takes place at a water treatment facility that is closing down on Christmas Eve. There's like 2 staff on the grounds but they show a full parking lot. I thought this was a plot hole but remembered an earlier scene where one character mentions that their husband has been using the property to store some extra cars from their dealership.

suenya 27 April 2021. For a star studded cast this movie did not rise to the occasion. The cast was stellar but the story was disappointing. There were too many weak storylines, the most glaring being Lerato's one. The idea was good but the execution was appalling resulting in an unbelievable conclusion. What a waste of Idris's Sultan's talent.
