  7. Feb 19, 2010 · Shutter Island holds up. 10 years after its release, I still find new intricate details in almost every frame of the film. It's hard to make a mystery/thriller movie that is so engaging, and remains engaging even after you watch the movie once and know the twist. The musical score to this film is absolutely haunting. Shutter Island is gruesome.
