If you're more comfortable with math and problem-solving, AP Chemistry might be a better fit for you. On the other hand, if you enjoy learning about living organisms and are stronger in memorizing information, you might find AP Biology more enjoyable.
So AP chem would've helped a lot in AP bio, but if you want to dip your toes into AP sciences before jumping in head first I would recommend AP bio first. The nice thing about taking AP bio after AP chem is AP bio is way easier, so nice for your senior year.
Sep 7, 2023 · AP Biology covers topics such as genetics, biochemistry, physiology, ecology, and evolution, while AP Chemistry covers topics such as atomic structure, chemical reactions, and thermodynamics. Even though both courses require practice in laboratory skills, the nature of the experiments differs.
The difficulty of AP Biology and AP Chemistry can vary depending on your personal strengths and interests. Generally speaking, AP Chemistry is considered more difficult because it requires a stronger foundation in math and involves learning complex equations and problem-solving techniques.
