Mar 16, 2010 · If they'll allow you to rent a space for drums or a band, then discuss security. Also keep in mind if the area/facility has good drainage and isn't prone to moisture and mildew. Finally, if it were me, I'd like to know who else is renting there.
The city I live in doesn't have actual rehearsal studios, so my bands and many others use storage units. The one I'm renting right now is $80 a month, and it is split between 8 people (three bands use it, as all three of us share one or two members).
Years ago I rehearsed with a band in a storage unit. Just check with the management. You will to get one with power and maybe climate control depending on where you live and what time of year.
