After an accident, the former boxer Ronald has lost his short-term memory and nothing is as it once was. Ronalds world has no future, only the past – until the day of his accident – is stored in his memory.
The film follows Leonard Shelby (Pearce), a man who suffers from anterograde amnesia—resulting in short-term memory loss and the inability to form new memories—who uses an elaborate system of photographs, handwritten notes, and tattoos in an attempt to uncover the perpetrator who killed his wife and caused him to sustain the condition.
Afflicted with short-term memory loss, a physics student (Courtney Hope) must find a way to reverse a quantum time anomaly and solve the murder of her boyfriend (Christopher Backus).
