It is still being sold in numerous locations for around $100 and has a company spec of 100 watts/channel and is one of the few receivers that has a phono input. I enjoyed the RX-4109 and eventually ended up owning three of them.

  4. Nov 30, 2006 · I had a sherwood 6095 receiver amp. for the budget end of the price range it was a great little amp. mine lasted 9 years before it blew up with a big purple flash. They have a few flat spots in the sound range but if you crank it up it seems to get a little better.

  8. Sep 3, 2018 · I bought an unmolested Sherwood S8000 a few months ago. The receiver is in good cosmetic shape, is not working. One of the power supply caps has grenaded, dial string is broken, transformers are good. I'm hoping for advice from others who have restored one of these receivers. Is it worth the cost and time?
