Shea Fontana is a writer for film, television, and comic books. She received her B.A. in Communications (Film and Television) from the Vanguard University of Southern California.
She has worked with DC Comics, most extensively on the DC Super Hero Girls franchise, writing the property bible as well as several stories for print and television. In 2017, she wrote a five issue arc for Wonder Woman v5 that was collected as "Heart of the Amazon". In this story, she created the Wonder Woman villains Abolith, Baundo, and Cat Eye.
Her work for DC includes Batman: Overdrive, a Teen Titans story for the 2017 DC Holiday Special, a Deathstroke story for DC's Beach Blanket Bad Guys Summer, the Looney Tunes crossover Catwoman/Tweety & Sylvester Special, and Justice League #22 (from the 2016 series). She also wrote the non-fiction book DC: Women of Action for Chronicle in 2019.
