Humoren i SHABHOLM når dog ikke samme højder som i “Blokhavn”, og især den politiske satire forekommer rigelig gumpetung. Men heldigvis er der stadig ting at more sig over, når de fem “shababs” Ali, Hassan, Ahmed, Abdi og Musti drager til SHABHOLM (det tidligere Bornholm, nu omdannet til en art ferieparadis forbeholdt udlændinge).
