(Japanese: 七つの大罪 Nanatsu no Taizai) is a Japanese fantasy manga television series directed by Tomokazu Tokoro. This series was originally released in 2014 on on Japanese Television Networks. Netflix acquired the rights to the series in 2015 to release it everywhere with the exception of some Asian territories. The first season was released on November 1, 2015 on Netflix.
This series has been licensed by Kodansha USA for English publication in North America, with the chapters being digitally released by Crunchyroll in over 170 countries as they are published in Japan. Moreover, Netflix acquired the exclusive English streaming rights for the anime series, making this considered as an original Netflix series, while Funimation currently has the home video rights.
