My side effects during the initial stages on the medication were as follows: Headaches. Severe insomnia. Severe abdominal pain. Short temper. Heightened sense of anxiety. Hot sweats. Diarrhoea. Nausea. Paranoia. Intrusive thoughts. Loss of appetite (and almost 2 stone in weight over a 2 week period!)

Jan 24, 2019 · I recently started taking Sertraline (Zoloft) for my anxiety/depression. I didn't suffer from a lot of panic attacks before taking this medication, however, I find now that I usually wake up from at least one panic attack per night.
I’m quite worried about taking it as I know there are many side effects, and I’ve never been on antidepressants before so I’m worried about how I’ll react to them. Can anyone offer their experiences with sertraline?
Feb 21, 2020 · The horrible side effects I had for the duration I was on them were - really heavy periods, aches and pains all over my body, bowel problems, sleepiness- all of which I never suffered from and all of which have resolved since I came off them 6 weeks ago.

Jan 15, 2021 · Sertraline saved my life. It's restored balance and calm, with no side effects since the first week. I'm currently on 100mg a day, down from 150 a year ago.
