Brazil, who had been battling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and Lyme disease, died from respiratory failure at Sherman Oaks Hospital.

Brazil was born in Sacramento County, California to Barbara and David Brazil. He also had a brother called Griff. Brazil died in April 17, 2006in Sherman Oaks, California, due to a respiratory failure stemming from complications of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and Lyme disease. He was married to Marie Brazilwith whom he had two children.
