Heiligenberg Castle (‹See Tfd› German: Schloss Heiligenberg) is a princely castle in renaissance style, situated in Heiligenberg, Linzgau within the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is sited on a plateau 730 metres above sea level and with views down into the Bodensee and the Alps.
Heiligenberg is perched high on the western edge of the forest of Odenwald and lies on the Bergstrasse which skirts the eastern edge of the Rhine valley. It is part of the municipality of Seeheim-Jugenheim. Since the Middle-Ages, this special location has inspired people.
Along the Bergstrasse there are quite some castles. What makes Schloss Heiligenberg different is that it is easier to access than most. You can drive by car up to the carpark but as it is not really at the top of the Odenwald mountain chain it is quite walkable from Jugendheim itself.
